Liam, AKA Lammy Loodle, was my best friend for 17 years... almost half of my life. I adopted him during my second year of music school, as soon as he was old enough to leave his birth mama, and I held him in my arms when he took his last breath. It was extremely difficult for me to say goodbye to him, but after a couple months of battling cancer, I chose to end his suffering. My heart is broken, and I miss him more than words can say, but I take comfort in the fact that he is no longer in pain.

He was the handsomest tuxedo cat; mostly black with a white belly and chest, white stocking feet, and a partially white face with an adorable black yin-yang mark on his chin. His eyes were the most beautiful shade of sage green that I'd ever seen, and I loved the unique smell of his paws and furry cat belly. He was super friendly and easy-going, and got along well with anyone and everyone he met throughout his life (except for that one asshole raccoon who beat him up about 15 years ago... but he survived!). He had a heart of pure gold, and he was always there for me, in his gentle and loving kitty way, through so many changes and challenging times. He was my angel.

His favourite foods were tuna and the Best Feline Friends brand of grain-free canned food (since all the flavour combinations included tuna), and his favourite toys were a simple piece of string, which he enjoyed chasing and pouncing on (he kept his claws extra sharp, and he used to be so fast), and anything filled with catnip. He also liked napping on the windowsill, talking to the neighbourhood birds--which we called "tweet tweets"--and chilling with his younger sister, an English Spot bunny named Parvati.

Morning cuddles with Liam were my most cherished moments. What a PURRfect way to start each and every day! He was pretty smart, too. He would gently tug at my lower lip with his paw, to wake me up so I would feed him. It was definitely way more cute than it was annoying. Afternoon naps with him were also amazing. He used to lie on my chest and rub his nose on my chin... the best kitty kisses ever. His purring soothed me like nothing else could, and he taught me how to meow properly. He was a very vocal person, and we used to have the most wonderful conversations with each other. He also loved when I played guitar and sang for him, which I did often.

My sweet Liam, I will carry you in my heart forever~* ( ( ( ♥ ) ) )
