Our sweetheart dog passed away and we used the services of Pets at Peace to help us get through this incredibly difficult time. On the day of the private cremation, we got to see our dog beforehand. We expected it to be extremely difficult and although it was hard, it brought such a sense of peace. He looked so beautiful. He looked like he was sleeping peacefully. We spent almost an hour holding him, hugging him, kissing him, talking to him, thanking him for the most amazing 12 years. This was done in a private, comfortable room. He was on a beautiful, soft bed and that's what he liked - all things soft. He always slept on our bed. The crematorium that Pets at Peace works with is just wonderful and it is very transparent in the way it operates. We witnessed him being placed and having this option was so important to us. We have the peace of mind that we only received his ashes and also, we stayed with him to the very end. The staff was amazing and so respectful and all of this helped us tremendously. We will always miss the big guy but after this final goodbye, we felt closure.
Thank you Helen for offering such a wonderful service. I think most humans of pets aren't aware that this is out there and I think everyone should know. You've been so kind and respectful. You also made yourself available to us on the long weekend and we greatly appreciate everything you have done for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Dear Julie,
Troy and I would like to sincerely thank you for your amazing care you gave Mooshie during this difficult time. Knowing he was with Pets at Peace Niagara-Pet Loss and Memorial Service in his aftercare and during the cremation process was a real comfort.
The time you took with me, the understanding and compassion will always be remembered. You made sure all of our questions were answered and went above and beyond. For that, we are truly grateful.
Mr. Mooshie now watches us from above and is at full peace. That brings me comfort. Thank you for your wonderful services and connection.

This is a very long overdue thank you. Several times I have begun to write to you but then my "grief brain" took over and the words just wouldn't come to me. Needless to say, it has been a long, dark healing path of grief with light only now filtering its way back into my life following the deaths of "my girls", my feline companions - Katie and Marcie.
I am so grateful for having found Pets at Peace when I needed you. Your compassion and understanding had a lasting effect. You made a hugely positive difference during such a difficult time. You patiently listened then provided information and options to accommodate my special needs for the care of my girls. I have no regrets nor things I wish had been done differently regarding their arrangements and cremation. It has been healing to have them home here with me. You treated my girls and I with great respect and dignity. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my final goodbye to them. I was deeply touched by the condolence cards received, your caring words brought much needed comfort.
With sincere appreciation,
Wanda

There are not enough words to describe how we felt when our bunny Meep passed on. Nothing can describe the enormous sadness, grief and loneliness we felt losing our pet bunny who was a part of our family. But you were there to comfort us, made things easier to decide on, to not look at what we lost and instead remember the best memories we can hold on to. It was such a nice feeling that there are people like you who understood and comforted us. We felt so empty when we brought her in, but you made it so special when you gave us all the time we needed and gently allowed us to say our goodbye.
In a world of chaos, hardships and sadness, you represent the wonderful aspect of what life is, how compassion and sincerity can ease pain even slowly. We miss Meep, but her loving and sweet memories are what we have in our hearts.
Thank you always,
Ed and Lily

I just wanted to share with everyone the experience that I recently had with Pets at Peace in Orillia. Before losing Molly, I had no idea that such a place even existed.. I wish I never had to find out..but I did..so I want everyone to know.. If it's at all possible to make the situation any easier, Sharon definitely did. She is so kind and understanding and really just such a nice person. She provides an amazing service and I would recommend her to anyone! She even drove out to Cumberland beach and dropped Molly's ashes off to me, sent a card and has checked up on me often to see how I'm doing. It's pretty amazing that a complete stranger can be so kind and care so much!

Dear Helen,

I just wanted to thank you so much for all of your care and thoughtfulness during our recent loss of Kelly. We were thrilled with the memorial we received including the lovely ash carrier and sweet paw print. Best of all, the fur clipping. I had forgotten to ask for this and was crying to my daughters that I forgot, so you can imagine my surprise and extreme gratitude when there was a clipping included. You thought of everything a grieving pet owner might want and have made this journey more bearable because of it. Also many thanks for the recommendation of the the veterinarian who was so kind, warm and reassuring. While this is one of the most agonizing times any family may go through, your support has made it much easier and so much more humane. Our entire family thanks you and your staff so very much. All the best to you….

We want to thank you for your kind and patient assistance and arrangements for Shea’s cremation. There are not words to express how comforting it is to have her ashes with us. We are still crying and hurting two months later, but memories of your kindness help. Thank you so much and also for the beautiful card which sits beside her on the mantle. You do the work of angels.

We don’t have children, so Dixie was our daughter. It was really nice to find somebody that was going to give us everything we needed, which was a vet to come to our house and help Dixie pass in our backyard, which was her backyard. It wasn’t clinical, it was personal. It makes it a lot easier to know that we did the right thing and we took care of her to the best of our abilities, and I’m sure that a lot of people would say she had a great life. In knowing that and Pets at Peace making it easier for us to do what we had to do for her, made it all the more comfortable for us. We could be crying right now, we could have gone through a lot of trauma but we didn’t because you made it right for us. Thank you for helping us.

Letter from Heaven..delivered by Chris and Tracey Pritchard

Dearest Helen,

As you are aware, I passed away on September 19th at 1158 hours. However, before leaving your earthly realm, I directed my “Masters” to prepare this document especially for you!!!

My health has been fully restored, and I feel much better now. I see perfectly from both eyes again, the cataract has vanished, and my teeth and gums are healthy. I have no infections and my stomach is settled and the heart murmur has disappeared. I have been reunited with my loving sister, Sandi Bear and have met a lot of wonderful new friends…Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, Old Yeller, The Littlest Hobo and Toto. I would like to profusely, deeply and profoundly thank Pets at Peace for your exemplary care, gentleness, respect, advice, knowledge, empathy and sympathy. I really do not know what my grieving Mommy and Daddy would have done without you. You made it easier for them to make hard decisions. It was wonderful that you greeted them so nicely, warmly consoled them during their time of need and made them feel somewhat better about my passing on to another world. I can personally assure that Mommy and Daddy will highly recommend your professional services to any pet parent that has lost a prized, adored, cherished and beloved constant canine companion.
Love,

KILLER -aka Charlie the Chihuahua

Dear Helen:

Words cannot say enough of the attention and service I received from you. First, there was that first email asking for information, knowing the moment I would need your services was not far in the future, then that first phone call, then the various communications on details and all the questions I had for you. From that first email to the moment I went to pick up Murphy’s ashes, you showed the most amazing level of professionalism but, above that, a level of sympathy and compassion I have rarely seen. At every point of contact with you, I felt I was with a friend. Even the sympathy card you sent after Murphy passed on was completely unexpected and written in a way that shows you truly care not only about what you do, but about the people you deal with and their loss. I’m glad My Little Mister had you to take care of him after his passing.

A thousand thanks,

Marc
