"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened" – Anatole France

At 11:00am this morning Jack went in for surgery for a few serious issues that arose quite quickly during the month of December.
It’s with great sadness and heartache that Gary and I tell you all that he didn’t make it.
We know he touched the hearts of many of you, all in different ways.

Jack, you stole our hearts from the moment we saw you in that cardboard box down by the Dairy Barn.
You were our first, our first taste of responsibility. It was always the three of us in the beginning, from car rides up to the trailer to our great adventures at the dog park, let’s not forget the hours I spent shaking chipmunks from trees for you.
Then Tristan came along, you showed that little boy what true unconditional love was all about. I have watched him grow with you for the last 5 years. The two of you shared a bond that was impossible to break.
Mia came along, she loved when your ran around with your Jack Russell turbo on overdrive and when you ran circles around her with her socks in your mouth.
The house is going to feel very empty without you, it’s difficult to even imagine life. We know that you are at peace playing ball and watching over us.

You will be forever cherished and remembered by us and all of those who had the privilege of knowing and being known by our best friend, “Jackieboy”
