You were never alone.

On June 26 at 8 am I found Toby laying very still next to his food. Toby had suffered a stroke. I wasn't about to leave him laying on the cold floor seemingly uncomfortable. I picked him up, made a bed for him and laid him down with his head slightly elevated. I tried to give him water but he couldn't keep it down. At that point all that was left was to make him as comfortable as we could, talk to him and stroke his head so he would not feel alone. At 6:45pm Toby took his final breathes as we watched. Our hope is that you never felt alone. You will be missed and never replaced.
