A Fond Farewell to a Gentle Friend....It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we have to inform you of the passing of our sweet Dezi. Unfortunately Dezi's legs started to fail him last week. He went from losing the use of one paw on Wednesday night, to the total use of all four legs within 24 hrs. Although a visit to the vet gave medicine that did help ease the pain, it did not result in the 'cure' we had hoped for. Dezi came to us Easter 2007 at age 10 having had some very bad experiences possibly from animal testing and abandonment when he was younger to being sent away for being 'too old' - he had a hard life. Dezi had many health problems, the least of which was a huge scar from the nape of his neck to the base of his tail. He quickly improved with proper food and lots of love and attention. we are glad we were able to make his last 20 months as happy and love filled as they could be. Sleep well our gentle friend, you finally have your wings!! You will be missed and always remembered. With love, Ed, Thomas, Joie and Hannah
